Phenomenal Kidz Tutoring is a Bay Area-based, premium tutoring service serving children in grades K–5 with both in-person and online options. Unlike franchise tutoring centers, our mission-driven program is led by a California-credentialed educator with over a decade of experience, including special needs support and youth mentorship. We offer personalized 1:1 and buddy tutoring (2 students) in math, reading, spelling, beginner coding, FRY word mastery, and beginner piano. Packages include flexible session lengths (30/45/60 minutes) to meet diverse needs and preferences. By combining academic, creative, and social-emotional learning, we aim to help all students achieve measurable growth and confidence.

Meet the Founder & CEO
From volunteering as a teacher’s assistant in 6th grade to leading her own classroom and now launching a tutoring company, education has always been at the heart of Deanna’s journey. With over a decade of hands-on experience in diverse educational roles — including private tutor, AmeriCorps member, preschool teacher, administrative assistant, and long-term substitute — she has grown through every level of the classroom. She has served as a 3rd and 4th grade classroom teacher and has also worked closely with NSH (Non-Severely Handicapped) students with autism, while mentoring foster youth and supporting learners of all abilities.She holds a Bachelor’s in Early Childhood Education, a Master’s in Education, and a California Multiple Subject Teaching Credential, combining academic knowledge with deep-rooted compassion and experience.Now, as the founder and CEO of Phenomenal Kidz Tutoring, Deanna brings all of that passion and expertise directly to the students and families who need it most. Her mission is clear: to empower young learners with the tools, skills, and confidence to believe there is nothing they cannot achieve.At the heart of her work is a fierce commitment to equity. She is especially dedicated to uplifting students who are often underserved and overlooked, breaking down academic stereotypes and rewriting the narrative that too many children — and even their parents — have been handed.
